Client stories
What people noticed during coaching—applications, interviews, and the awkward middle of a first search.
The dossier review cut two pages of soft skills fluff I thought looked “professional.” My applications started getting replies in Mainz within three weeks. Scheduling the debrief took a few emails longer than I hoped, but the markup itself was precise.
Interview rehearsal made me stop apologising for having only Praktikum experience. We practised the same “tell us about yourself” answer until it sounded like a person, not a brochure.
City orientation for Leipzig vs. Dresden saved me from applying blindly to both. I still dislike writing cover letters, but at least I know which city’s openings deserve the effort first.
Extended story: from scattered tabs to a Cologne shortlist
Mira finished her Bachelor’s without a clear sector. In the first coaching session we listed hard limits: no more than 45 minutes by train, German at B2, interest in research support or office coordination. Session two mapped openings around Cologne and discarded roles that required two years’ experience she did not have. Session three locked a Tuesday/Thursday application block and a rehearsal for a screening call she had already booked.
She later wrote that the path did not “get her hired”—a team lead did—but it stopped the nightly spiral of random portal browsing. That distinction matters: coaching organises effort; employers decide offers.
